Form W-2

  • When will I receive a hard copy of my Form W-2?

If you have elected to receive a hard copy of your W-2, you should receive it by Jan. 31.

If you are unsure of your elected choice and you have access to Paycom’s Employee Self-Service portal, please log in and click “My Payroll,” then “Year-End Tax Forms.” Make sure the W-2 tab is selected. Any tax forms will be displayed on this page; a blue tool tip will notify you of your Form W-2 delivery methods. The most common options include “I elect to receive only and electronic copy of my Form W-2” or “I elect to receive both an electronic copy and paper copy of my “Form W-2.”

If you would like to change your elected choice, follow the directions in the tool tip, but any changes will be applied to the following tax year.

  • When will I have access to my Form W-2 in Employee Self-Service?

You will have access by Jan. 31.

  • How can I get my Form W-2 at my current company?

Your IRS Form W-2 can be accessed through Paycom’s Employee Self-Service portal. Once you have logged in, click “My Payroll” and then “Year-End Tax Forms.”

If you do not have access to Paycom’s Employee Self-Service portal, contact your company’s HR/payroll personnel for this form.

If you are having trouble logging in, contact your company’s HR/payroll personnel. Only they can help you retrieve forms, as Paycom does not store these, in order to ensure that data stays secure for your protection.

  • How can I get my Form W-2 if I no longer work for that employer?

Even if you no longer work there, you will have to contact that company’s HR/payroll personnel. Only they can help you retrieve forms, as Paycom does not store these, in order to ensure that data stays secure for your protection.

  • How do I change my address to get my Form W-2 mailed to the correct place?

The deadline to change your address for the 2016 tax year was Dec. 31, 2016. If you didn’t change your address before then, please contact your company’s HR/payroll personnel.

To change your address for the 2017 tax year, log in to your Paycom Employee Self-Service portal. Click “My Information” on the left-hand side of the screen, then “Address and Contact Information.” You will then be able to edit your current address information and make any necessary edits. Be sure to select “Update Contact Information” at the bottom of the screen in order to save your changes.

If you no longer work for the employer in need of the address change, you will need to contact the HR/payroll department and inform them of the address change.

  • What if I didn’t receive my Form W-2?

If you have not received your W-2 by Jan. 31, you should contact your employer and ask when it was mailed. If it was mailed, make sure your correct mailing address is on file.

If you have not received your W-2 by Feb. 23, call the IRS for assistance at 800-829-1040. When you call, you must provide your name, address, Social Security number, phone number and the following:

    • Employer’s name, address and phone number,
    • Dates of employment, and
    • An estimate of the wages you earned and the federal income tax withheld. The estimate should be based on your year-to-date information from your final pay stub or leave-and-earnings statement.
