Paycom’s Stacey Pezold Named to okcBIZ’s Forty Under 40 List

Paycom’s executive vice president of operations, Stacey Pezold, was named to okcBIZ’s 2014 class of Forty Under 40, honoring Oklahoma residents based on community involvement, professional achievements and career development.

Pezold’s accolade marks the second-consecutive year a member of Paycom’s senior leadership team was recognized on the prestigious list. Last year, Paycom’s staff attorney, Lauren Toppins, accepted the same honor.

As a Forty Under 40 honoree, Pezold will receive a $5,000 scholarship from Oklahoma City University’s Meinders School of Business and recognition online at okc.biz and in print in Oklahoma Gazette.

“It is such an honor to be selected among the top 40 individuals under 40 in Oklahoma City,” Pezold said. “I am grateful to have had the opportunities I’ve had, but am most proud of the value I’ve been able to add to the lives of others. Giving back and supporting this community is one of the ways I try to pay it forward.”

A graduate from Oklahoma State University, Pezold joined Paycom in 2005 as a sales associate. After 16 months, Pezold was promoted to area sales manager in Tulsa, Okla., before opening Paycom’s Chicago sales office and eventually taking over as Paycom’s director of training and development.

As executive vice president of operations, Pezold has led Paycom’s ongoing leadership and development to new heights, earning her and the Oklahoma City-based company national recognition. In 2011, Pezold was presented with a Stevie Award for Best Sales Training Manager of the Year. More than 800 entries from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted. Earlier this year, Pezold received the Leadership 500 Award from HR.com, which recognizes each organization’s leadership, customer service, training and overall culture.

In her spare time, Pezold actively volunteers to support Infant Crisis Services, where she also serves as a committee member for its Boots and Ball Gowns event. As a civic leader, she holds memberships in the National Association of Professional Women, Association for Talent Development and Toastmasters International, just to name a few.

Pezold is a native of Tulsa, where she attended Jenks High School. She and her husband, Alex, currently reside in Edmond with their daughter, Ava, and son, Aidan.
